Maya
President

Maya

Hi everyone, I’m Maya, and I will be your 2026–2027 Co-President as well as a Co-Founder of this organization. I am currently a senior majoring in Psychology with a minor in Communication. In addition to my academic pursuits, I also serve as the 2026–2027 Creative Director for The Posh Daily and have been independently running my hairstyling business, By Maya Amelia, both on and off campus for the past 2½ years. Building my business has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my college career. It has taught me valuable lessons in leadership, community building, and entrepreneurship that I hope to bring into this organization as we create a supportive space where students can connect, collaborate, and grow together. I’m excited to meet all of you and can’t wait to build something meaningful together! 🤍<3

Celine

Hey everyone! My name is Celine, and I’ll be serving as your Treasurer of EXCEL for the 2026–2027 academic year. I am a rising senior at the University at Albany majoring in Public Health with a minor in Social Welfare. Throughout my time at UAlbany, I’ve been involved in several organizations, including Umoja, where I will be serving as President (BIG UMOJA). Aside from my campus involvement, Cee’s Touch is one of my greatest passions and a way for me to connect with other Black and Brown women. I started my business during my senior year of high school, but I began taking it seriously once I entered college, and it has become one of my proudest accomplishments. Through building my business, I’ve gained confidence, purpose, leadership skills, and valuable experiences. These experiences have helped shape me both personally and professionally. As Treasurer, I plan to use these skills to ensure EXCEL’s finances are managed responsibly, transparently, and efficiently. I cannot wait to connect with all the beautiful people at UAlbany and build a community for everyone to showcase their talents!
